The barrel break-in procedure is a must to obtain accuracy in your rifle. Any shooter that knows how to clean a rifle can perform this task. For the first 20 shots clean after each shot with copper and powder solvent. For shots 21 - 60, clean with copper and powder solvent after every third shot. For shots 61 - 100, clean after every fifth shot. For shots 101 - 200, clean after every tenth shot. Most hunters don’t put 200 rounds through a rifle, but this procedure doesn’t have to be done at one sitting. My recommendation for hunters is to go to the range and do the first 20 shots (the most important ones) and each other time that you go to the range continue the break-in procedure. .
